Assumption Parish VINE Coverage
Louisiana VINE is a custody-status and notification network, and it has official roots. The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement built it. Partners included the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association, the Louisiana District Attorneys' Association, and the Department of Public Safety and Corrections. It tracks adults held in participating parish jails and state prisons. The toll-free number is 866-528-6748, also written as 866-LAVNS-4-U, and online users land on VINELink.
The official LA VINE roster directory lists an Assumption Parish LAVNS endpoint. It states that live rosters refresh every 30 minutes. That Assumption page has failed to load before. The listing proves a real deployment. It cannot promise the older parish page will open on any given day.
For people currently held at the Assumption Parish Detention Center, one source is direct. That is the active Assumption Parish Sheriff CentralSquare roster. CentralSquare and VINELink serve different jobs. The Sheriff portal shows local booking and hold details, including a mugshot field. VINE handles location, status, and alerts across the wider Louisiana network.
Run a VINE Arrest Check
Begin at the live Louisiana interface, not an unofficial people-search site. Keep the person's name and any known identifying number handy. The form's labels can shift, so follow the fields on screen rather than an old screenshot.
- Open VINELink Louisiana with JavaScript enabled and confirm Louisiana is selected.
- Choose the relevant custody or service context when the interface offers a choice. For a parish booking, look for Assumption Parish or the appropriate local agency.
- Enter the person’s name. Use an ID or case number when available and accepted by the current form.
- Compare every possible match by available identity, facility, location, or status details. Do not choose solely because a name looks close.
- Open the matching record and note the custody status, location, agency, identifying number, and alert option that the live result supplies.
- When no match appears, search the Sheriff’s live roster and use the Sheriff’s official contact route or call the Detention Center at 985-369-7283.
The official Louisiana VINELink search is the current entry point for state and participating local custody checks.
That page displays the VINELink search screen itself. It offers no guarantee that every fresh Assumption Parish booking is indexed yet.
What VINE Custody Results Mean
A VINE result answers two things: where a person is held and whether that custody changed. Fields vary by agency and record. State descriptions support searches by name, location, and an ID or case number. No single person's result will show every field.
| Result detail | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Name or identifier | Helps separate similar records; verify more than one detail. |
| Custody status | Indicates the status reported to VINE, subject to update lag. |
| Facility or location | Shows the reporting jail or prison when supplied. |
| Agency or jurisdiction | Identifies the participating source connected to the record. |
| Release or transfer change | May trigger a notice after registration when the agency reports it. |
| Alert registration | Lets a user choose available notification methods from the live flow. |
Use the Assumption Clerk of Court record search to find a filed criminal case and its outcome. The court's final word comes later and elsewhere. The Clerk path is not a substitute for a current jail check.
VINE does not display booking photographs. Louisiana's program pages promise no photos in public results. A photo seen on CentralSquare comes from the Sheriff's local booking interface, not from VINE.
Register for VINE Custody Alerts
Louisiana VINE states that notification is free and can be used anonymously. Alerts report custody changes like release or transfer. Registration starts from a matching record. Phone and email are the supported contact methods, though the exact steps and sign-in requirements can change.
- Find the correct person in VINELink and open that custody record.
- Select the registration or notification option attached to the record.
- Choose an available phone or email method and enter the address or number accurately.
- Complete any confirmation, PIN, or authentication step shown on the live screen. Do not assume an old PIN rule still applies.
- Record the service instructions in a safe place and keep contact details current.
- Treat each alert as a prompt to confirm with the reporting jail or prison, especially when time or safety matters.
The Louisiana VINELink login and registration route displays the current account entry point.
The registration form itself shows the current route for phone, email, PIN, or sign-in details. Follow whatever the page presents.
VINE alerts help with ongoing awareness. They cannot replace direct contact with the Assumption Parish Detention Center or with emergency services. Agency updates, phone settings, or email filters can all delay a notice. A changed contact address can also delay a notice.
Louisiana VINE Update Timing
LCLE describes Louisiana VINE live rosters as updated every 30 minutes. It also lists the Assumption LAVNS page. That timing belongs to the state VINE statement alone. The Sheriff has published no fixed sync interval for CentralSquare. It also does not mean an arrest appears exactly 30 minutes after it happens.
Booking takes time. Identity checks, intake steps, and system entry all come first. A person may then be released, transferred, or held for another agency. Refresh the source when a status cannot be confirmed in time. Compare the reported facility, and call the jail if the answer still lags. The older Assumption LAVNS endpoint has failed before. That past failure is one more reason to keep the Sheriff portal and the VINELink state page in the fallback chain.
The Assumption Parish Arrested Today route explains the same-day fallback. It works when a new booking has not yet reached VINE.
Note: Thirty minutes is the state VINE roster description, not a guaranteed booking-to-publication time for Assumption Parish arrests.
VINE and Victim Services Differ
Louisiana VINE is not Louisiana Victim Outreach, or LAVO. VINE supplies custody checks and automated alerts across participating systems. LAVO is a DPS&C victim-registration route tied to state-prison release and related notices. A local Assumption Parish booking alone does not put a person in state prison or into the LAVO process. The DPS&C Victim Services page explains the state service and how it differs from LA VINE.
VINE handles victim notification. The Sheriff's roster handles local booking photos. Those are different jobs. A registered victim may request a current photo of a state-incarcerated person near the projected release date, a protected service with narrow limits. Nothing in it creates a public DOC mugshot archive. Use VINE to find where someone is held, and check the Sheriff's public display for an Assumption Parish booking image.
Local and State Custody Stages
Custody stage decides the right search. Someone booked locally appears first in the Sheriff's CentralSquare roster. VINELink reflects a participating jail's reported status once its update runs. A sentence into Louisiana state custody moves the person into the DPS&C and VINE path, which is state data rather than a live Assumption Parish booking feed. The DPS&C guidance refreshes state information every 24 hours. Searches run by location, name, or ID and case number. LCLE describes a 30-minute cycle for VINE live rosters. Those clocks rarely match. A local release can mean state custody never begins. A transfer can drop a record in one system before the next one posts it. One person can sit in two systems at once. Match every result to its agency and reported time.
VINE Excludes Federal Custody
Louisiana VINE stops at the state line. Federal custody needs federal tools. For a federal inmate, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. It covers federal incarceration from 1982 forward. Search by register number in the federal format, or run a name search with added filters. Its public results cover identity, location, and release details, not local booking photos. Immigration detention works differently: use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. A DHS or ICE hold on the Assumption Parish roster is not confirmed ICE custody. Those are two different statuses. A federal transfer can also delay a match until the new locator catches up. The Marshals Service posts no Assumption-specific roster. No public booking-photo page exists either. When VINE, BOP, and ICE all come back empty, confirmation may take another route. The relevant federal court, a detention facility, an attorney, or an agency records request can settle it. Keep local arrest, state imprisonment, federal incarceration, and immigration detention separate.
